A website chatbot that answers at 11pm
People land on your site at night with one question in their head. Do you do this, how much, how soon. Nobody is awake to answer it. The chatbot is.
The problem
Your website gets visitors when you get sleep
Most visits to your site happen while you are off the clock. Somebody sits on the couch late at night, searches, and lands on your page with one question. Can you fix this. Do you come out to my town. Roughly what does something like this run. There is no one to ask, so they do not ask. They hit the back button and open the next result.
The contact form does not save you. Nobody wants to fill out five fields at 11pm and wait days for a reply that may never come. Calling feels like too much at that hour. So the question goes unasked, and the person who was ready to hire someone hires whoever answers first in the morning.
You never see any of it happen. Your analytics show a visit that lasted a minute. What actually happened is a customer stood in your doorway, asked a question into an empty room, and walked out.
How it works
The question gets answered, the lead gets caught
It sits quietly in the corner of your site and only matters when someone has something to ask.
- 1
A visitor has a question
It is late, or you are on a ladder. Either way, nobody is watching the website. The visitor opens the chat instead of leaving.
- 2
The chatbot replies
It gives the answers you approved: your services, your service area, your hours. We write them with you and set them up.
- 3
It captures the lead
It asks for a name and number, so the conversation moves to their phone by text instead of dying when the tab closes.
- 4
You pick it up
The whole chat is waiting in your inbox in the morning. You reply when you surface, or they have already booked a slot.
What you get
Set up for your business, approved by you
- You sign off before it goes live. We set it up with your services, your service area, and the answers you want given. You read what it says and correct anything before a single customer sees it.
- It hands off to text. The chat asks for a mobile number early, so the conversation keeps going on their phone even after they close your site.
- It captures the lead either way. When a question falls outside the answers you set up, it takes a name and number for you instead of guessing.
- Every chat lands in one inbox. Conversations sit next to your calls, texts, and web leads, so nothing gets stranded in a separate chat tool you forget to check.
- It can end in a booked job. The chatbot drops your booking link right in the conversation, so a question at 11pm becomes an appointment by 11:05.
- On Scale, it answers on its own. That version runs on AI: it answers questions itself, books the job, and follows up by text without you touching it. See the AI voice receptionist page.
Timeline
Answering questions within the week
Day 1
One short call
We ask what customers actually ask you. The five questions you answer on the phone every week become the answers it gives.
Mid-week
You review its answers
We write its answers and set it up, then you read every one and fix anything that sounds wrong. Nothing goes live without your sign-off.
Day 7
Full system live
Your website, chat, booking, and inbox are up.
One system
Works with the rest of the system
The chatbot catches the question. These pieces carry it to a booked job.
Pro
Unified inbox
Every chat lands in the same place as your calls, texts, and DMs, so no conversation gets stranded on the website.

Website chatbot questions
What if a question is outside its answers?
It only works from the answers you approved before launch. When a question falls outside them, it says so and takes the visitor's name and number so you can answer personally. Collecting the lead beats guessing every time.
Do visitors know they are talking to a bot?
Yes, and that is fine. It does not pretend to be a person. Someone browsing at 11pm wants a straight answer and a way to get on your schedule, not a pen pal. What they remember is that your site answered and the last three did not.
Can I answer a chat myself?
Anytime. Every conversation sits in your inbox, and the moment you type a reply the automation steps aside. Most owners let the bot handle nights and jump in during the day when something interesting comes through.
What about pricing questions?
Your call. Some owners give ranges, some have it reply that price depends on the job and offer a free estimate instead. Either way, you decide exactly what gets shared, and it never quotes a number you did not approve.
Does the text handoff need anything special?
Business texting has to be registered with the carriers first (A2P). We handle that registration during your build, and no automated texts go out until it is approved. The chat itself works on your site from day one either way.
