No. The business line runs through an app on the phone you already carry. Calls to the business number ring that app and show up labeled, so one device handles both lives without mixing them.
What happens to my old number?
Nothing you do not choose. Your personal number keeps working exactly as it always has. Customers who have it can still reach you while the new number takes over on your website, your Google listing, and new print. Over time the business number becomes the one everybody knows.
Is recording calls allowed?
Yes, with the right setup. Rules vary by state, mostly around whether callers need to be notified, and we configure the line to match where you operate, including a notice message if your state requires one. You get the record without the legal headache.
What do callers hear after hours?
